Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino acid peptide analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) with a trans-3-hexenoyl modification at the N-terminus for increased stability and potency.

It stimulates the pituitary gland to release endogenous growth hormone (GH) in a pulsatile manner.
