SS31

SS-31 (also known as Elamipretide or MTP-131) is a synthetic tetrapeptide designed to selectively target and protect mitochondria.

It binds with high affinity to cardiolipin on the inner mitochondrial membrane, helping to reduce mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS), optimize electron transport chain function, maintain cristae structure, and support ATP production.
