Research overview
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a synthetic nonapeptide originally studied for its role in regulating sleep and neuroendocrine function.
In research models, DSIP has been investigated for its potential to promote deep (delta) sleep, modulate stress responses (via ACTH and cortisol regulation), exhibit antioxidant properties, and influence pain perception and withdrawal symptoms. It is one of the earlier peptides studied in the field of sleep neurochemistry.
